Job Description – Network Engineer (Full Time – 1 Vacancy)

Role Summary

TOTCI Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in configuring, supporting, and maintaining network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently on routine tasks, assisting in project implementations, and supporting customer environments both remotely and on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and support LAN, WAN, and wireless networks (routing, switching, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi, firewalls).
  • Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, and basic security appliances.
  • Monitor network performance and assist in resolving connectivity issues to ensure uptime and SLA compliance.
  • Handle Level 1 and Level 2 support tickets, escalate complex issues, and document resolutions.
  • Assist senior engineers in project deployments, BOQ validation, and customer coordination.
  • Implement basic network security measures including access control, VPN setup, and firewall rules.
  • Maintain updated documentation: network diagrams, configurations, and incident logs.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to SME environments (e.g., cloud networking, SD-WAN).

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or IT Support Engineer with networking responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing basics (e.g., static routes, OSPF), VPNs, NAT.
  • Experience with devices from vendors such as MikroTik, Fortinet, Cisco, Huawei, or Aruba.
  • Familiarity with firewall configuration, VPN setup, and basic security policies.
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and customer support issues.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, Syslog) is a plus.
  • Certifications like CCNA, HCIA, or NSE 1/2/3 are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in CCTV configurations including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Skilled in printer configurations, setup, and network integration.
  • Knowledge of telephonic system configurations and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
